Jerrin Shaji George is a highly skilled software engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as an MTS at VMware, Inc. and is responsible for working on memory allocators and garbage collectors to add native persistent memory support to programming languages. Additionally, he is contributing to the resource management layer of ESXi hypervisor. Jerrin has previously worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Cloudera, where he ported Navigator Encrypt (Navencrypt) on Linux 4.4 to add Ubuntu 16.04 support. He also integrated Navencrypt with Cloudera Manager, the Hadoop distribution management software, and added chroot-mode support for Navencrypt. He has also worked as a Software Development Engineer at Broadcom, where he worked on memory management for multimedia hardware accelerators using IOMMU, and Widevine L1 DRM support for secure playback. He designed and developed application libraries used in Broadcom set-top boxes and conducted weekly unit tests crucial for timely release of Broadcom 4G LTE chipsets. Jerrin holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from NIT Calicut. He also completed his AISSCE in Science and Maths from Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Hadoop, and Android.
